Brittany Bryan for Raleigh City Council District D

Working hard for the future of Raleigh for everyone.

It’s important to be able to hit the ground running from day one, especially since City Council terms are only two years. I will be able to do that. I have been following city policy decisions for years, active in each election, serving on boards and committees for local organizations that have been focusing on many of the issues discussed above, and have participated in the Raleigh Neighborhood College and Raleigh Citizen Leadership Academy. I’ve been working hard for this community for years and have a clear understanding of how we got to where we are and how to move Raleigh forward. I am committed to being a resource for all residents of District D and listening to, respecting, and working for them all.

Growing up in a small, rural part of east Tennessee, I learned the value of community at a very young age. From coming together with family and neighbors to grow a garden that was big enough to feed whoever needed it, to delivering Meals on Wheels with my grandfather as a child, a commitment to service and building healthy communities is something that has been an important part of my life as long as I can remember.

I’ve seen first hand how important it is for people to come together for their community. Working together is how we move forward. In every community I’ve been a part of, I’ve worked hard to find ways to bring people together. Whether that was organizing co-workers to prepare meals to share with families experiencing homelessness, serving on nonprofit and neighborhood boards, registering voters, or mentoring students, a love of community has been at the heart of it all.

I invite you to learn more about the priorities I have developed for Raleigh, based on years of hearing from the community. I would also love to hear from you! Drop me a line, share your vision for Raleigh, or stop by one of the free events our team is hosting throughout Downtown and Southwest Raleigh.
